I grew up in Morley WA. When I was young I started doing small construction jobs around the house with my dad, who was a brickie at the time. He was always building and I found that I really like working with my hands. Then I got into carpentry and cabinetry, and then on to bricklaying myself - working for large scale builders on units and subdivisions. That was when I was 23.

When I was 28, I did my first owner builder project. That was a subdivision and it was then I decided to start night school to get my builders license - the old school way - working as a brickie during the day and going to school at night. Then after another subdivision project I worked my way up slowly, doing subcontractor work and then small renovation projects and boundary walls, learning everything I could.

I began to build my reputation and then went on to start my own business building houses in Perth's Northern suburbs. As I grew I began to understand that I really like building houses the way I want, focusing on quality trades, quality materials and spending time with my clients to really understand what works best for them, different to many of the large scale builders who often cut corners and cause all kinds of delays.

All our cabinetry is handmade and I've spent decades finding and working with the best tradespeople. One of my carpenters I went to high school with - and my compliance officer I've known since I was 13.

If I was to say there were five main points that I like to focus on in my business they would be: honesty, transparency, accountability, quality... and no BS.

I like the whole process of building a house. And I love helping people. I like the building industry and I like making sure that we're a productive part of the community. And obviously I like that my passion supports my family and others in the community - and I love bringing that same quality and care to my customers.
